The idea of taking a good care of your skin is really pampering. But often, we can't find the perfect product that will suit our skin. When you have sensitive skin, that task becomes more difficult. We feel even more frustrated when we know there are some amazing products in the world, but we can't get our hands on them very easily.

I truly believe in this. When I started suffering from Eczema sometimes back, my skin became extra-sentivite. I couldn't touch any Skin Care products that have fragrance, chemicals, or preservatives in them. I frantically searched for some miracle. And Weleda came to my life. It was hard for me to get them here, but somehow I could manage it.

My Experience:

I cannot stop raving about Weleda products. You may know that I am a crazy seeker for natural products. And when my Eczema happened, I was desperate. My search took me to this brand which is a Natural Skin Care Brand. My skin issues were in a worse condition and I decided to give it a try. I got blown away by their mind blowing results.

Both of these two products are hypoallergenic, fragrance-free and 100% natural. Isn't that awesome!!

The facial lotion calms sensitive skin, protects it, and restores the balance. Organic sweet almond oil gently soothes the skin. The plum kernel oil is full of antioxidants, vitamins A, and E. This lotion is absolutely non-greasy. It absorbs quickly into the skin.

I use this during day time and sometimes in the night time too after cleansing my face with the cleansing lotion from the same range.

This is suitable for all seasons and all skin types. I have an oily, sensitive skin and it fits me perfectly. However they have facial cream and facial oil too in this range which will be more effective for dry skin.

About the Cleansing Lotion, it gently removes all the impurities without irritating the skin. The essential fatty acids in Sweet Almond Oil and the Vitamins & Antioxidants packed Plum Kernel Oil help nourishing the skin. They maintain the balance and save the skin from different pollutants. Though this is a creamy cleansing lotion and many say that is not suitable for oily skin, this particular one is an exception. I take a cotton pad and put two peas sized amount and apply it on the skin. Then, I gently massage it for 30 seconds and wash it off with water.

Both of these products complete each other. They go very well together. They don’t break me out and give my skin a healthier glow.

Another striking fact about these products is that they are absolutely safe to use during pregnancy as they are free from every single harsh chemicals and preservatives. They soothe the skin and make them soft, supple, nourished, and glorious.

Hair Care is an integral part of life. But this can be quite a task if we don't know how to choose or use the right kind of product. Everyone's hair is different and it acts in different ways. So, it will be easy if we if get to know a product that is suitable for all hair types.

Today, I am sharing my experience on Matrix Biolage Deep Smoothing Serum, which I've have been using for quite some time.

My Experience:

I have an on-off relationship with this particular product. Someday I like this very much and someday I don’t. Now, if you are wondering about the kind of hair I have, then you must know that I have extremely oily, fine hair with a sensitive scalp. Yeah... I know it’s the worst one imaginable. If I shampoo my hair in the morning, by the evening it gets flat and greasy. So, I was a little bit reluctant when I thought of using this in the beginning. But during the last monsoon, when my hair struggled to air-dry properly, I decided to use the hair dryer (I don't prefer to use Hair Dryer regularly). As a precautionary heat protectant, I started using this serum. And it started working very nicely.

After shampooing my hair; I take just a small pea sized amount of this serum in my palm, rub it, and use it in the ends of my hair. Afterwards, whatever remains, I spread that in the rest of my hair. I use my Tangle Teezer (see my review) to comb and I find no knots in my hair which is quite surprising for me. After that, I use my dryer.

During the Summer, it gets greasy after some time but for the rest of the year, it works nicely especially during the Winters.

The texture of the serum feels like an extra light version of an oil. It gives my hair a natural shine. It controls the frizz and the flyaway hair too. And the soothing smell lingers into the hair for some time which feels very refreshing. When I use this and the hair dryer together, my hair feels so soft. But when I use this serum on my hair, I skip Conditioner on that day. However, oily hair people have to be really careful while using this because if you use a little extra, your hair may turn greasy.

Pros:

· Very lightweight

· Smells very soothing

· Good to use as a heat protectant

· Gives a natural shiny, glossy finish

· Smoothens the hair nicely

· Non expensive

· There are infusions of some good oils

· A single bottle goes for a looong time

Cons:

· Could be little greasy for some people with oily hair ( I use very carefully)

Rating:

3.5/5 (for my oily hair)

I so wish that my hair could be little bit on the drier side. I think those who have normal to dry hair, they will like this product very much. I will purchase this again. But at first, I need to finish this bottle which is a task. 😁

Recently, I find myself obsessed with different types of fragrances. Be it a perfume, or scented candles for home, or even frankincense sticks for daily Puja (act of worshiping God), I am all about how they smell. I am always fascinated by fragrances and in pursuit of finding new things. It always changes according to my mood or season. I believe a nice scent can really uplift your mood. It does for me. It can calm you down. It can turn on your mood.

When it comes to Skin Care and Cosmetic products , I, however, prefer to use fragrance free skincare. But a little devil inside me always tend to go for some floral fragrances in bath and body products especially during the Summers. A nice scent really relaxes me. It can give the effect of a little spa-at-home kinda feeling.

Today, I am gonna talk about this beautiful bath soap which literally gives my bathroom a spa feeling.

My experience:

First of all, since I've put this soap in my bathroom, every time I go there, I get the Zen feeling. This soap actually smells like real Sandalwood with a little touch of Turmeric. The fragrance is absolutely natural and beautiful.

It comes in a rectangular shaped bar with a brownish yellow color. One thing I must say is that I've used so many different types of handmade soaps in the past. But sadly, most of them gave a dry feeling after wash. This hand made soap is an exception to that. It gives a very clean, refreshing feeling. It is so moisturizing as well. The smell is not over powering. It lingers into the skin for quite some time which feels really nice. I've tested this soap without applying any moisturizer immediately after bath. Even then, it doesn't make the skin dry which is amazing. This soap is just beautiful with all its natural properties like coconut oil, almond oil, sandalwood oil, etc. They are all well known for their multiple benefits in Skin Care. This brand has other variants of Soaps too to offer which I am yet to try.

Pros:

Smells amazing

100% natural and free from any petroleum, synthetic fragrances and harmful chemicals
Various oil benefits
Moisturizes the skin
Gives a clean, fresh feeling as well

Expensive for a soap

One really amazing thing about this brand is that they have complementary international shipping available which is really awesome as an Indian Luxury Skin Care brand. It is also available in AMAZON USA.

I really like this soap. There are so many other variants to try. I am looking forward to it.

Summer is here with a drum roll. We can feel the scorching heat in the air. We are enjoying every bit of it as we get to wear all those colorful summer dresses from our wardrobes. However, along with this, there are some new companions too- sweat, stickiness, oily skin & hair and whatnot. Gross… I know. Right now, we can jump on anything to get a nice volume in our flat, oily hair.

Today, I am discussing with you guys one serious issue that almost everybody suffers from during the summer. I am talking about oily scalp and hair. And those unfortunate ones who have fine, flat hair like mine, this time of the year makes it more miserable.

So, let’s see whether we can find any solution to this or not.

My experience:

I have used this shampoo 5 to 6 times now. And one thing I can say is that this definitely gives volume to my flat, limp hair. But hold your horses, guys. I know this sounds tempting, but overall I am not super happy with this product.

Now I know, by this time you are raising your eyebrows and saying, “Oh! Come on, this is giving you volume, right. What else is your complaint now?”

First of all, I want to say this is completely my own experience. This could vary from person to person. Though this shampoo has given me maximum volume, it is full of Sulfates. I have expected a little bit of roughness which is good for my oily hair. But as soon as I have rinsed the shampoo, I have felt like it has taken every last bit of oil from my hair. This may sound odd, but it is like that. 😢My hair feels like 'straws' after rinsing the shampoo. I have used conditioner to get rid of the ‘strawness’ (usually, I avoid Conditioner as it makes my hair oily). And after that, the rough texture has gone. But every time, whenever I've used this shampoo, I've felt like all the natural oils are washing away with this.
One thing to mention is that this shampoo smells amazing, a fruity scent with a subtle hint of floral notes. During the Summer, that feels amazingly fresh. The shampoo is light yellow in color in an orangy bottle which looks tempting. But the weird texture of my hair after using this shampoo will keep me away from this in the future.

Pros:

· Smells amazing

· Gives volume

· Non expensive ( compared to other imported products available here)

· Easily available

· Lathers well

Cons:

· Full of sulfates (chemicals)

· Hair feels like Straw immediately after rinsing.

· Not suitable for daily use

Price:

240 INR for 300 ml.

Rating:

2.5/5

I don't think I am buying this again. It is possible that after some more use, I am finding this Shampoo little useful. But so far, I am not very impressed.

Everyday pollution is spreading and leaving behind its hard core marks in every dirty way possible. One of the victims is our skin which literally cries every time we go outside. The most important question- are there any solutions for this? Now, it is really hard to get rid of pollution (probably we should settle in jungles😜). But at least we can take good care of our skin so that it can breathe properly.

Cleansing, Toning, Moisturizing is the mantra, guys. But along with this, there is one additional support system that makes your skin a whole lot better. So here comes Scrubbing.

Today I am gonna talk about one of my favorite Scrubs that comes from the house of one Indian herbal brand “Lotus Herbals”.

About the product:

Lotus Herbals Apriscrub^TM (Fresh Apricot Scrub)

In the bottle it says:

1 min to fresh new skin.

For all skin types.

Directions:

Moisten face & neck. Apply Lotus Herbals APRISCRUB^TM in dots all over and rub with wet fingers in clock wise and anti clock wise direction massaging gently. Rinse well and pat dry. Apply ALPHAMOIST^TMOil-free moisturiser or Safe Sun Sunblock Lotion before stepping out.

Ingredients:

Water, Prunus Armemlaca (Apricot Kernal) powder, Glyceryl Monostearate, Glycerin, Stearic Acid, Isopropyl myristate, Cetyl Alcohol, Light Liquid Paraffin, Sodium Lauryl Sulphate, Methyl Paraben, Propyl Paraben, Fragrance.

How does Scrubbing Work on Our Skin:

The outer and most exposed layer of the skin gets affected the most. Over the time, skin becomes dull and lifeless. Dirt particles, dryness etc. sit on the skin. And the cells in the upper layer of the skin gradually stop working. This is how we all get dead skin cells. These dead skin cells don't wash off with the help of water as they are attached to our skin. We need external help to remove the dead skin cells. And for this, Scrub plays an important role.

My experience on this:

The beading particles in Scrubs help to remove the dead skin cell and try to let out the renewed skin cell which helps skin to look invigorated.

As per as this particular Apriscrub is concerned, I really like this product. It has chunky granules inside it which helps to remove the rubbish. It has a nice fragrance also which is pampering.

After cleansing my face, I take little amount of this scrub. In my wet skin I apply this and gently massage it in a circular motion (except the eye area) for one minute. After this, I rinse my face with water. You can immediately feel the brightness, a more supple and plumped up skin. A new glow is really noticeable. Afterwards I follow the usual toning and moisturizing routine. Toning is a must do after scrubbing as it helps to tighten the pores. Follow the ritual by a Moisturizer, otherwise skin will be dehydrated. I use this scrub once a week.

Only thing that bothers me about this scrub is the chemicals in it, otherwise this works great for me.

Pros:

· Works nicely as a scrub

· Soothing fragrance

· Makes skin supple and glowing afterwards

· Non expensive

· Easily available

Cons:

· Full of chemicals ( though it is a herbal brand )

· Can be little harsh for some sensitive skins

125 INR for 100 g

A Request I want to do to the Brand:

I really like this product. It is a budget friendly product and it works really nicely. I think as an individual, who prefers to use natural products, this product fails miserably in there. I will be more satisfied if the brand makes more natural version of this. It will be unbeatable then.

This is absolutely my inner thought. So far, this product really works for my sensitive, oily skin. Give it a try.
